ABOUT THE ROLE
The role requires the successful candidate to support the Project Officers in providing a high level, essential customer facing service, ensuring delivery of an efficient and effective Repairs and Maintenance service with focus on project delivery. This can include but is not limited to Voids processes in General Needs housing stock, Independent Living Housing Stock and both Temporary and Emergency Accommodation, batched works and multi-element repairs.
As a Project Operative you will responsible for assisting with the operative utilisation to minimise contractor spend ensuring our empty properties are returned to a rentable condition in the fastest possible time, prioritising, allocating work and deploying staff as required.
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will:
• Experience of improving and gaining customer satisfaction.
• Experience of managing people and work delivered by someone who is able to work on their own initiative and can work well in a team
• Experience of working within the Local Authority/Social Housing sector.
• Be qualified to NVQ level 3, equivalent or relevant experience and ability, and have a broad knowledge & understanding of Repairs & Maintenance work streams.
• Be committed to maintaining current, and develop new skills required of the post
• Carry out ‘Works In Progress’ inspections, and assist with meeting targets for turnaround time and Void spend.
