We are underway in delivering an exciting £350 million scheme of the regeneration of Stevenage Town Centre and have an exciting annual events programme within the town centre to grow Stevenage as a destination town.
We have an opportunity for an outstanding candidate to join our dynamic team in a unique role as a Town Centre & Markets Manager to strategically lead and direct the vision for the town centre and indoor market, including development, management, delivery and support for a wide and diverse programme of events within the town centre. You will be providing support to town centre businesses and market traders, with the overall aim of increasing footfall and increased spends within the town centre and indoor market. You will also be responsible for overseeing existing projects and contracts in the town centre, such as Stevenage Loyalfree App and Commercial Management Contract.
The successful applicant will need to be a team player and an excellent and persuasive communicator, with a proven record of delivering successful community outdoor events.
This is a high profile role working with elected members, senior managers, government agencies, key partners\stakeholders and specialist private contractors. You will also work closely with our Regeneration and Communication teams.
We are looking for an experienced professional who has previously worked in similar roles and can work successfully with others to ensure a vibrant town centre. To be competitive in the role, you will need to demonstrate a high level sector specific knowledge, skills and experience and have strong complaint management skills.
