About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Museum Technician. The postholder unlocks the building Wednesday to Friday, so an early start is a must. The successful candidate will also take responsibility for the maintenance, upkeep and security of the Museum building and stores. We have a regular programme of changing exhibitions and displays and our technician is key team member, tackling everything from painting walls to hanging pictures and getting the tech working, everyone pitches in but this role is critical. You might also be asked to carry out occasional conservation work.
About you
The role will suit a person who is flexible and has good DIY skills, with an understanding of health and safety, imagination and a problem-solving, can-do approach. A full driving licence is required and a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be carried out for the successful candidate.
