ABOUT THE ROLE

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Community Development team for a Neighbourhood Warden to join us
You will play a key role in the improvement of resident’s quality of life in Stevenage and will contribute to developing a co-operative, sustainable and more socially cohesive community. As our Neighbourhood Warden, you will also contribute towards planned and targeted approaches to ensure residents, businesses and visitors have a great experience of living in, working in and visiting Stevenage, in partnership with a range of internal and external partners to achieve success.
You will also carry the lead responsibility for reporting environmental concerns and supporting the development of neighbourhood improvement work, ensuring local residents are at the heart of decision making.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role you will have been educated to a good standard, ideally including GCSE’s grade 4 or above, and have proven experience of working within local communities, preferably in a role with community engagement responsibilities.
You will be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team, deal calmly and confidently with emotional situations and have the ability to understand the needs and perceptions of residents.
You will also have proven experience of working with residents and within local communities, building relationships, improving outcomes and co-ordinating consultation, community mapping and resident engagement
A full UK driving licence (with access to own vehicle) is desirable.
