ABOUT THE ROLE
Stevenage is one of the biggest regeneration schemes in the east of England with £1billion being invested including a new state of the art £43million Leisure Centre.
Working in an award-winning team which provides a wide range of leisure, culture, arts and parks services in Stevenage, this senior management role is vital to the success of leading and managing our unique event programme with some events attracting up to 30,000 visitors.
Working within our team the role will also work across our services supporting the wider work programme of services that we provide.
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will have, drive, ambition, innovation and be solution focused, highly motivated with the ability to formulate ideas and get projects over the line, lead and be part of a successful wider team.
Experience in developing and managing community and major events from conception to delivery is essential.
This high-pressure role requires working unsocial hours, attention to detail experience of licensing, working with specialist event contractors, managing large budgets and a strong emphasis on customer services.
This is a very high-profile role within Stevenage and the successful candidate will have a proven track record of dealing with senior leadership teams, key partners and be politically astute.
