ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a new and exciting opportunity to join the Facilities Team as Energy & Utilities Manager where you will play a central role in optimising the utilities billing process across our diverse portfolio of buildings within the Corporate and Commercial Estate.
Your primary objective is to oversee and enhance the management of energy and utility expenses – including electricity, gas, and water – ensuring cost efficiencies & work closely with Finance Team and the budget holder to ensure adequate annual accruals and profiling of spend against budgets is completed within the specified time frames.
Your focus extends beyond traditional utilities management; you'll be a driving force in identifying opportunities to reduce costs, introducing sustainable practices, and cultivating positive relationships with utility service providers and building occupants. This isn't just about managing utilities; it's about leading the charge towards a greener, more cost-effective future for our organisation.
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will have:
- Computer literacy across a wide range of programs including Word, Excel and Outlook and the ability to quickly adapt to using
other software packages with strong keyboard skills
- The ability to multitask across different sections within the department and be a valued team member
- Excellent communication skills and first-class customer care qualities
- Ability to gather, scrutinise and collate lots of data.
- Work under pressure meeting deadlines with accuracy and in line with statutory requirements
- Ability to set and monitor key performance indicators carrying out checks and audits of work and providing information to
auditors.
- Ability to analyse and certify accounts for payment, managing and paying for the services provided by consultants.
