ABOUT THE ROLE
Provide a comprehensive surveying service for the Aids and Adaptations department.
To manage a portfolio of major and complex works, assessing feasibility, ensuring building safety and compliance.
Producing detailed drawings and submitting building control and planning applications where required.
To provide regular updates and reports to the Project Manager
Knowledge of dealing with residents, their representatives, members of the public, Councillors.
Deputise for their line manager when he/she is unavailable.
Attend team meetings and briefings and any relevant training courses.
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will have:
• Knowledge of building construction and all relevant health and safety requirements/legislation
• Knowledge of building and planning regulations.
• Experience working in a similar role within a building construction or refurbishment environment.
• Experience of using SOR’s, Quotes and Tenders.
• Excellent organisation skills and ability to manage own workload within agreed targets and policy timescales.
• Strong IT experience and knowledge.
• A flexible approach and ability to work across teams as business needs change.
