ABOUT THE ROLE
We have a great opportunity for ideally a proven time-served fitter to work as part of our repairs and maintenance team in our modern Vehicle Repair Shop. The role involves the preparation for MOT testing, for class 4 and 7 and Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) MOT preparation to VOSA minimum standard or be prepared to undertake the necessary training to achieve these qualifications. You will carry out LGV safety inspections at the required frequency. You will also be required to carry out servicing of vans and lorries, maintenance, repair and breakdown work. In addition to this you may be asked to assist with servicing, maintenance or repair of grounds maintenance machinery including welding. The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday as part of a team of five. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to improve their skills in a friendly and supportive environment.

You ideally will have:
• Relevant, recognised qualifications in the maintenance and repair of road going vehicles.
• Practical and working knowledge of the servicing, repairs and maintenance of commercial vehicles including welding.
• The ability to repair and maintain both petrol and diesel vehicles.
• A licence to drive Class 2 HGVs – would be desirable but not essential.
