ABOUT THE ROLE

To be responsible for the day-to-day scheduling of responsive repairs (and voids works if/when required) through the Dynamic Resourcing Scheduling system (DRS) for several trade persons providing excellent service delivery to all customers while ensuring maximum efficiency and maintaining key performance indicators.

To support the Supervisors, Project Officers, Business Support Officers and other colleagues as required in the planning and execution of responsive (and void) repairs.

To act as the main contact for Customers, Customer Service Centre and other colleagues to progress responsive repairs through to satisfactory completion.

ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will ideally have

• Significant knowledge of IT systems and Microsoft packages
• Experience of building maintenance terminology.
• 5 GCSEs at Grade A-C/NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) or equivalent relevant skills and abilities.
• Problem solving skills and the ability to use initiative.
• Ability to multitask, work under pressure and to meet targets and strict deadlines.
• The ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with a range of people including residents, internal colleagues, senior management, Councillors and MPs
• Knowledge of Financial regulations
• A background in housing repairs and technical knowledge.
• Experience in working with a scheduling system such as DRS and housing databases such as Northgate, working knowledge of Microsoft packages
• Good understanding and working knowledge of National Housing Federation schedule of rates.
• Experience of using IT systems to allocate work to trades persons
• Working knowledge of Social Housing in a Local Authority/Housing Association background.
• Experience of administrative processes and procedures
• Ability to compile, prepare, and analyse reports
• Experience of working in a customer focused environment.
