ABOUT THE ROLE
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Income services team.
We are looking for someone who will hit the ground running in income collection and recovery management setting; you will be dedicated to providing a high-quality service for Customers. Your innovative approach to your work and negotiation skills will enable you to effectively manage the desired business outcomes whilst assisting our customers with money and debt advice.
The post holder will:
• apply a high-quality customer - centred comprehensive income collection and recovery service for our customers within a performance management framework and meeting statutory requirements. You will ensure prompt dealing of customer enquiries & complaints.
• have the ability to develop, maintain relationships and work collaboratively with internal and external parties, key stakeholders and other council sections e.g Resident and Estates, Finance, advice agencies for the benefit of the Council and our Customers.
• be responsible for managing the rent accounts for all general needs and Independent Living properties owed to the Council by ensuring that all necessary and proportional action is taken offering reasonable and appropriate interventions and support measures.
ABOUT YOU
You will:
• Be a team player who is committed to delivering excellent customer services and be an effective communicator with high self-motivation good time management, interpersonal, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Be used to dealing with complex customer situations that require sound judgement and analytical skills, teamwork, sensitivity and result focused.
• Have good working knowledge of the rights and obligations of landlords and the public and private sector, welfare benefits and recent housing issues and government initiatives.
• Have good working knowledge of the Housing act 1996 Parts VI and VII.
This post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Clearance.
