About the role
To successfully lead, and manage repairs associated contractors and respective technical teams, providing a comprehensive repairs, disrepair and damp and mould repairs service meeting legal, regulatory and Stevenage Borough Council policies and requirements.

To achieve high levels of productivity, cost effectiveness and quality, ensuring maximum
Performance and compliance in accordance with the standards and policies of Stevenage Borough Council.

About you
Experience of property and related contract management of providers, ideally in a Local Authority and/or Housing Association setting

Strong knowledge as relates to Legal Disrepair and Awaab’s Law, notably Damp & Mould services

Strong leader able to provide effective leadership providing teams with positive leadership, guidance, process, direction and motivation that harness the strengths and talents of individuals and promotes achievement of our “one team” culture.

Foster and maintain excellent working relationships with relevant teams, partner organisations and pursue new ways to deliver services in collaboration with others which benefit the Council, partners and customers.

Provide strong, effective leadership, including championing corporate activities and initiatives that cross service boundaries and implement effective joined up approaches and solutions to meet the Council’s vision and values.

Represent the Council externally as appropriate, acting as an ambassador and developing relationships to ensure a positive view of the Council and to influence agendas to meet organisational need
