ABOUT THE ROLE
Join our team and play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing a diverse range of properties. From commercial and public buildings to residential, garages, leisure and community spaces, your expertise will ensure all our assets are in top condition and fit for purpose.
You'll manage a variety of capital construction projects from start to finish. This includes major/minor repairs, reactive maintenance, replacements, alterations, adaptations, refurbishments and enhancements. Your work will be essential in delivering projects aligned with our capital investment programmes, benefiting both the Council and external organisations.

ABOUT YOU
We're looking for someone who is not just skilled, but also enthusiastic about making a real difference in our community. The ideal candidate will have:
• Expert Knowledge: You possess detailed understanding of building technology, construction, and the ability to identify defects and craft effective repair solutions.
• Technical Skills: You excel in preparing drawings, schedules of works, and specifications for various project stages, including documents for quotations and tendering.
• Regulatory Insight: You are well-versed in Planning, Building Regulations, Health and Safety, Party Wall Act, and CDM regulations 2015, including the roles of Designer and Principal Designer.
• Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office, CAD applications, and knowledgeable in using Sketchup or similar 3D applications.
• Survey Expertise: Experienced in conducting condition and dilapidation surveys, with the ability to prepare comprehensive reports on your findings.
• Specification Mastery: Skilled in using NBS Specifications and Autocad.
