ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Microsoft 365 (M365) Trainer to lead the delivery of our M365 Awareness & Training Programme across Stevenage and East Herts Councils. This is a key role focused on driving adoption, enabling behaviour change, and building digital capability—helping our staff and elected Members confidently embrace modern ways of working.
As Senior M365 Trainer, you will lead and manage a team of trainers and be responsible for designing and delivering a high-quality, blended training programme that supports consistent, effective use of M365 tools across the councils.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading and managing a team of M365 trainers across both councils
• Identifying training needs and developing a blended learning approach (in-person, online, and self-service content)
• Designing and delivering engaging, role-based training aligned to programme priorities
• Developing learning pathways informed by Digital Skills Survey insights
• Delivering practical, scenario-based training focused on real-life ways of working
• Producing accessible, inclusive learning materials and guidance
• Supporting communication and engagement activities (e.g. FAQs, case studies) in collaboration with Communications teams
• Monitoring and evaluating training impact, supporting KPIs and continuous improvement
• Leading an M365 Champions network to embed adoption across the organisation
• Working with ICT and GDPR leads to ensure safe and effective use of M365 tools
• Recommending and managing external training provision where appropriate (e.g. Power BI, Power Automate)
• Driving a culture of continuous learning and encouraging self-service capability in an evolving digital environment

ABOUT YOU
We are seeking a confident leader and M365 advocate who is passionate about digital enablement, learning, and user adoption.
You will bring:
• Proven experience delivering M365 training and driving adoption across organisations
• Strong leadership skills, with experience managing or mentoring training teams
• Ability to design engaging, blended learning programmes tailored to different roles and skill levels
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including working with senior leadership
• Experience creating accessible and inclusive learning content
• A strong understanding of modern workplace tools and ways of working within M365
• Experience measuring training impact and using data to drive continuous improvement
• A collaborative mindset, with the ability to build networks such as champions communities
