As a Window Cleaner/ Mobile Caretaker you will ensure that all glass/panels/ fascia’s and soffits are left clean and smear free. You will be working mainly using a poll and reach system using deionised water. You will also assist our Caretaking team when required or in adverse weather conditions and will be expected to work as part of a team to ensure that all our estates and communal areas are clean, tidy and in a safe condition.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with contractors and tenants/residents on site to achieve agreed works are completed within agreed timeframes. You will carry out glass and cleaning duties as well as health and safety inspections. You will be expected to liaise between tenants, leaseholders and management, and as act as Stevenage Borough Council’s representative when on site, you will provide a courteous and efficient service at all times. There will be requirement for you to work weekends 4 hours Saturday, 4 hours Sunday as a mobile caretaker on a rotational basis.

The successful candidate will be able to work effectively as part of a team, with the ability to build effective working relationships. You will need the ability to complete physically demanding tasks and to work to tight deadlines in a pressurised environment. The post holder will be required to work weekends on a rota basis.
