About the role
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Microsoft 365 (M365) Trainer to lead the delivery of our M365 Awareness and Training Programme across Stevenage and East Herts Councils.
This is a pivotal role focused on driving Microsoft 365 adoption, enabling behavioural change, and building digital capability across the organisation. You will help staff and elected Members confidently embrace modern ways of working while ensuring they have the skills and support needed to make the most of Microsoft 365 tools.
As the Senior M365 Trainer, you will lead and manage a team of trainers and be responsible for developing and delivering a high-quality blended learning programme that supports consistent and effective use of Microsoft 365 across both councils.

What You'll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
• Identify learning and development needs and create a blended learning approach, including face-to-face training, virtual sessions, and self-service resources.
• Design and deliver engaging, role-specific training aligned with programme objectives and organisational priorities.
• Create accessible, inclusive learning materials, guidance documents, and support resources.
• Work collaboratively with Communications teams to develop engagement materials, including FAQs, case studies, and awareness campaigns.
• Monitor, evaluate, and report on training effectiveness, using data and feedback to support continuous improvement and programme KPIs.
• Lead and develop an M365 Champions Network to encourage knowledge sharing and embed new ways of working across the organisation.
• Manage and recommend external learning providers where specialist training is required
• Promote a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and digital confidence across the councils.

About you
What We're Looking For

You will have:
• Proven experience delivering Microsoft 365 training and driving user adoption within organisations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience managing, coaching, or mentoring training teams.
• Experience designing and delivering engaging blended learning programmes for a range of audiences and digital skill levels.
• Experience measuring learning outcomes and using data to improve training effectiveness.
• A collaborative approach and the ability to build and sustain networks, such as champions communities and user groups.

You'll also be someone who:
• Is passionate about helping others develop confidence and capability in digital tools.
• Leads by example and champions innovation, learning, and continuous improvement.
• Is highly organised, proactive, and comfortable managing competing priorities.
• Enjoys working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders and teams.

• Make a real impact on the digital skills and confidence of our workforce.
• Lead a talented team and influence the adoption of modern workplace technologies.
• Work closely with a broad range of stakeholders across two councils.
• Help create a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
