ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled professional who is passionate about technology and dedicated to enhancing community services through innovative IT solutions.
•	Design and implement new IT systems and applications, ensuring alignment with the enterprise architecture and business requirements. 
•	Establish and maintain IT standards and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality across the council’s IT infrastructure.
•	Lead the diagnostics and resolution of complex IT issues that are escalated from 1st and 2nd line support teams.
•	Collaborate with project managers to ensure successful project delivery.
•	Work with third-party experts and internal teams to design and implement solutions.
•	Take ownership of enterprise technologies and ensure their optimal performance.
•	Stay updated with the latest technology trends and best practices.
•	Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team.
•	Participate in change management processes, including risk assessment and mitigation.
•	Support the infrastructure team in various capacities, including on-premises and cloud technologies.
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will have
•	Proven track record of planning, designing, and implementing IT solutions.
•	Extensive knowledge of VMWare (Broadcom), Microsoft 365 and Azure solutions.
•	Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage major incidents independently.
•	Experience working with project managers and leading projects.
•	Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
•	Ability to drive and occasionally work on-site as required.
•	Enthusiastic and proactive attitude, with a desire to grow and take on new challenges.
