ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking to recruit a Principal Building Surveyor (Specialist Works), to lead our Aids and Adaptations team delivering improvement projects to our housing stock enabling residents to remain independent in their home.
You will be part of a dynamic team in our Housing and Investment Business Unit, ensuring that our adaptations are delivered to a high standard and represent value for money.
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will have:
• A good working knowledge across all areas of asset management within social housing with a specialism of aids and adaptations
• A good understanding of issues affecting local government including knowledge of government policy and initiatives affecting asset management.
• Experience with asset management software and database management.
• Experience of using Autocad for the production of high quality plans and drawings.
• A good understanding of how to analyse and interpret financial, performance and resource information.
• Ability to support programmes of challenging projects and to contribute to major projects, programmes and initiatives.
• Excellent computer skills (competent in using Microsoft Office IT packages including Excel)
• Be able to work on their own initiative and have excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage staff and lead a small team of two
