ABOUT THE ROLE
We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Commercial to continue to lead our effort to achieve our commercial ambitions across the organisation.
With responsibility for delivering our commercial strategy and continuing to develop our commercial culture, you will be a driving force in the Council’s Financial Security Programme, enhancing our existing commercial offer and identifying new sustainable income streams.
We will look to you and your expertise to support business units across the Council, delivering cost reductions and productivity gains through process reviews and the adoption of a commercial mind set.

ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will have
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience of successfully leading and managing commercial services in the public or private sector and driving ambitious, profitable and sustainable growth
• The vision to identify commercial opportunities, underpinned by a thorough understanding of profit and loss and the ability to create achievable business plans
• Demonstrable experience of driving transformational change within an organisation and the use of appropriate tools and techniques to engender new ways of thinking at the right levels
• Strong governance ability, with a track record of successful programme management from inception through to delivery
• The ability to build collaborative relationships and influence and negotiate with colleagues, partners, suppliers and stakeholders through a variety of methods.
