ABOUT THE ROLE
- To provide a high quality architectural surveying service for customers who need aids and adaptations within their home or another dwelling
- To carry out surveys, feasibility studies and provide technical solutions to meet the requirements as identified by the Occupational Therapist recommendations.
- To actively manage a caseload from inception to completion including the production of AutoCAD drawings (where required), the creating of detailed specifications and the production of tender
documents
- To procure works through the use of frameworks, quotations, competitive tender etc.
- To produce project plans and record progress as well as managing contractor performance
- To ensure contemporaneous records are kept and corporate systems are updated so all performance metrics can be produced.
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will have
- Experience and knowledge of Part M of the Building Regulations
- Experience of delivering Aids and Adaptations preferably in a Social Housing setting or through a HIA
- Familiarity with the Equalities Act
- Knowledge of a wide range of products for the disabled
- Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver projects on time and on budget
- A keen interest to try new products and building techniques to deliver best quality and value
- Strong record keeping skills ensuring all audit requirements are met
- An understanding of and commitment to the Council’s Standing Orders for all financial transactions
