ABOUT THE ROLE

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Community Advice and Support for a No More Service Complex Needs Advocate to work with our youth team.
This is a county wide contract so travel across the county is required.

You will be working with young people with complex needs including substance misuse, offending and mental ill-health. You will be working with partnerships agencies to support to improve quality of life to residents and their family.

You will also need to have knowledge around the local partners known to the No More Service to enhance the wellbeing needs of individual residents and service users ensuring these needs are met by obtaining help from appropriate agencies, to enable residents, occupants, and service users to maintain independent living.

To enhance and create initiatives aimed to strengthen the work of the No More Service and continue to expand the services. This includes creating new ideas to keep the service up to date and putting them into practice.


A full UK driving licence (with access to own vehicle) is essential.




ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role you will have been educated to a good standard including HND/HNC Housing, Social work, Addiction or ASB qualification or equivalent practical knowledge and experience of working previously in an area providing support and guidance.

You will be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team, deal calmly and confidently with emotional situations and have the ability to understand the needs and perceptions of residents.
