The Commercial Property Manager at Stevenage Borough Council plays a crucial role in overseeing the efficient management and operation of the council's diverse commercial property portfolio.

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the optimal performance, maintenance, and financial viability of these properties while fostering positive tenant relationships and upholding the council's commitment to excellence.

The Commercial Property Manager is tasked with maximizing occupancy rates, implementing effective leasing strategies, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations, and contributing to the overall success of Stevenage Borough Council's commercial property initiatives.

This role serves as a key liaison between tenants, stakeholders, contractors, and council officials, requiring a combination of strategic thinking, operational management, and exceptional communication skills to achieve the council's property management objectives.


The successful candidate will have:

• Good knowledge of Landlord and Tenant Legislation
• Proven professional experience in Estates Management
• Excellent customer service skills and a common-sense approach to problem-solving
• Commercial acumen
• Ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to drive and access to a car
